The University Soccer League is gearing up for the summer season and will, as always, take place on our small grass fields at Franz-Liszt-Straße 34. It kicks off on Thursday, June 4th, at 5 p.m. Over the course of nearly two months, you can look forward to exciting matches every week and cheer on your favorite teams.
Alongside the University Soccer League, the University Tennis League also takes place on the same day. Every Thursday, starting at 3 p.m. So if you can’t decide between soccer and tennis, why not check out both on alternate days? Both tournaments are held at the same location: Franz-Liszt-Str. 34.
The Open Dance Session is a mixed-style practice evening featuring Latin, Standard, Discofox, and West Coast Swing. It will take place on Friday, June 19, starting at 8:00 p.m. in the Campus North Sports Hall. Practice the steps you’ve learned in class, meet new people, and enjoy a pleasant evening. We’re happy to take music requests.
In this intensive workshop, you will learn extremely effective self-defense techniques against physically superior attackers. We practice in realistic scenario training sessions. In these sessions, you can try out the techniques you have learned directly on the protected trainer and apply them with full power. It doesn't get any more realistic than this! The workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced participants. The individual sessions are not sequential, so you can easily sign up for just one of the two days.
Hybrid field hockey is a new, fast-paced variant of floorball (floorball) in which four players per team face each other. The game is played on a basketball court using sticks without a bend in the blade. You don't need any previous knowledge or additional equipment. Incidentally, this variant originates from the region and is currently only played here at the TU. Come along and get to know a new sport. The tournament will take place on Friday evening, July 3, 2026, from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the Beethovenstraße Sports Hall.
For those interested who don’t yet have a partner or who aren’t sure which class is right for them, there will be an opportunity to find a suitable dance partner at the Rebenring Gymnasium or to ask the instructors about the classes. The event will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can register below. Registration is on an individual basis.
Following the successful season-opening tournament, another mid-season tournament will take place on our tennis courts on July 10 starting at 3:00 p.m. The tournament begins with a qualifying phase in which all participants are randomly paired with doubles partners in rounds. Each match lasts 30 minutes. A special rule is that if the score is 40:40 (deuce), one game point is played so that no advantage is played. Each participant plays a total of three games and collects individual points, which are used to allocate the doubles for the play-off phase. The play-off phase is played in a knockout system and follows the same rules as the qualification phase. One exception is the final: a full set will be played to determine the tournament winner. We look forward to your participation!
July 16, 2026, marks the final match day of this year’s summer season for our University Soccer League. All fans are cordially invited to cheer on their teams from the sidelines! As always, there will be an after-party at EULE/XO afterward :)
