Not all students need to bring their own computer.
The Gauß IT Center provides a large number of networked workstations and notebook workstations in several rooms on the campus of the Technical University of Braunschweig. These rooms are suitable for lectures, self-study, or courses.
The pool rooms are accessible during building opening hours and can be used for self-study as long as no events are taking place in them. Food and drink are not permitted in the pool rooms. Rooms can be booked for private events via the TUConnect booking system. During events, the room must be used correctly (equipment, TU regulations, licensing rights, laws, etc.). Please check in advance whether the desired room is suitable for your type of event. Software requirements must be agreed upon at least four weeks before the event date. The organizer is responsible for obtaining the necessary licenses. The installation of special software can take up to three weeks. A list of software installed on the pool room computers can be found in the GITZ FAQs. Software not included in this software catalog can be provided in exceptional cases, depending on the effort and availability. Please contact us! In addition to the pool PCs, a limited number of notebook workstations with Wi-Fi, power supply, and monitor are available in some rooms.
