As landscape ecologists we investigate the effects of environmental changes on landscapes, their compartments and the associated ecosystem functions and services.
Our methods include ecological modelling, laboratory and field experiments, remote sensing, GIS, and other methods.
We teach ecology, biodiversity, statistics and modelling.
Since 16 November 2023, Prof. Dr Boris Schröder-Esselbach is Head of the Department of Plant Ecology at the Institute of Ecology at Technische Universität Berlin. His old working group for Landscape Ecology and Environmental Systems Analysis at TU Braunschweig congratulates him and wishes him all the best!
