After two years of exclusively digital events, the CIRP LCE 2022 conference took place from 04-06 April. A delegation of TU Braunschweig from AIP, IWF and IK participated in the hybrid conference in Leuven (Belgium). After a long break, a personal exchange with international researchers and representatives from industry was possible again. In addition to the face-to-face lectures and discussions, some lectures were held digitally. The program was supplemented by interesting keynote lectures.
In Leuven, in addition to the scientific exchange, there was the opportunity to deepen contacts at a joint dinner or a "beer & cheese" reception.
We would like to thank the organizers for the successful conference and hope that personal exchange with other researchers will become the norm again in the future!
