As part of the lecture series “Braunschweig Seminar on Economics, Politics & Practice,” another interesting lecture took place on July 1, 2026, in the old building. The speaker was Jürgen Matthes from the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. He spoke on the topic “Partner, Competitor, and Systemic Rival: How Should We Deal with China?” It was a very successful evening with lively discussions and about 65 guests.
