The Institute for Energy and Process System Engineering is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Assistant (HiWi) to assist in our exciting research project focused on non-destructive testing. The selected candidate will work on the experimental aspect of ultrasonic testing on batteries in a laboratory environment.

Student Assistant (m/f/d)
(30 hours per month)

Your responsibilities will include, in particular, the following tasks:

  • Assist in setting up and optimizing the experimental test setup.
  • Handle and prepare pouch-cell batteries inside a glovebox.
  • Collect and analyze experimental data to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of batteries
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations based on research findings.

They bring with them:

  • Enrolled student in the fields of mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, materials science, environmental engineering or a comparable field of study
  • Interest/Knowledge in Li-ion & All-solid-state battery and their defects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to data interpretation from experiments.
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
  • An independent, structured, and meticulous work style
  • Reliability and a sense of responsibility.
