Publisher discount and Memberships

The University Library has arranged special conditions and discounts for Open Access publishing with various publishers. These publishers are listed here in alphabetical order with information about conditions, procedure and further links. Please note that the publishers' discounts can only be claimed if you are a corresponding author.
 

AAAS - American Association for the Advancement of Science (until 31st December 2026)

• Conditions
  15% discount on regular APCs in the OA journal "Science Advances"
• What do I have to do?
  You have to claim the 15% discount actively from the publisher.

• Conditions
  Cost-free OA activation of articles in all hybrid and OA Journals and Proceedings that are included in the contract.

• Conditions
  Discount of 750$ on APCs in the OA-Journals "Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, Series B" and "Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, Series B".
• What do I have to do?
  Please use your TU Braunschweig email address for affiliation check.
  No automatical coverage of APCs. For funding from the TU Braunschweig Publication Fund, please submit the Application for funding.

Bentham (until 31st December 2024)

• Conditions
  Discount of 50% on APCs in hybrid Journals
• What do I have to do?
  No standardised affiliation check, you have to identify yourself actively as a member of TU Braunschweig.
  
  You have to pay the invoice yourself, funding by the TU Braunschweig Publication fund is not possible.

Copernicus (until 31st December 2024)

• Conditions
  Complete coverage of APCs in all OA-Journals
• What do I have to do?
