Are you planning a research stay in the U.S. as part of your doctoral studies?
Funding is available for four- to six-month research projects at a U.S. university or research institution to be started between 01 August 2027 and 31 December 2027.
The scholarship funds living expenses of 2,400 euros/month and health/accident insurance. Also included are a monthly maintenance allowance for accompanying family members (for a maximum of six months) of €276 for partners, €400 for the first child and €100 for each additional child, the free of charge Fulbright J-1 visa and the admission to the renowned Fulbright network.

The “Research & Teaching” program offers you the opportunity to receive a fellowship at a university or academic institution in the U.S.
Funding is available for research and teaching projects lasting three to nine months that begin between 01 August 2027 and 31 May 2028. The fellowship covers living expenses in the U.S. at a rate of 3,000 euros per month and, if applicable, lump-sum allowances for accompanying family members. It includes health and accident insurance, free Fulbright J-1 visa sponsorship, participation in the Fulbright Seminar and membership in the international Fulbright network.
