Workshop

The central workshop at the Research Airport Campus was created by merging the workshops of the Institutes of Aircraft Design and Lightweight Structure, Flight Guidance, Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery.

Thanks to the various institutes, the workshop has extensive experience in prototype construction, the construction of test fixtures and even complete test rigs. The central workshop has a large machine park with conventional and CNC machines at its disposal.

In addition to metal production, various samples/models in GRP or CFRP composite construction are produced in the plastics workshop and equipped with measurement technology, which are then tested in the institute's test facilities.
