Our cooperation partner about itself:
PowerCo SE is a global battery cell manufacturer founded in 2022 by the Volkswagen Group. Headquartered in Salzgitter, Germany, the company is responsible for the development and production of battery cells as well as the vertical integration of the value chain. PowerCo is currently building a total of three cell factories: Salzgitter in Germany, Valencia in Spain, and St. Thomas in Canada. All cell factories are standardized and will produce the same product, the standard cell. The global ramp-up follows a modular approach and can be carried out in 20 GWh increments as needed.
