Filippo Giovanni Colombo is a doctoral student at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics (ISM) with a focus on hypersonic and multiphase flows. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in aerospace engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. For his master's thesis at the ISM, he worked on the numerical analysis of counterflowing jet injection for hypersonic flows.
He is currently experimentally investigating multi-phase hypersonic flow, with particular interest on the particles effect on boundary layers.
