Abstract
This talk provides an overview of Physical Layer Security (PLS) as a complementary approach to conventional cryptographic techniques for securing wireless communications. The presentation will discuss the impact of wireless channel characteristics, including fading and shadowing, on communication security. In addition, key performance metrics and common analytical methods used in the evaluation of physical layer security will be introduced.
