In the 10th session, Mr. Rodrigo Kloster Albarracín gave a talk on "An Introduction to Non-Hermitian systems".
Abstract:
"Non-Hermitian physics is a rapidly growing field that is attracting significant interest from the physics community. In this talk, we relax the Hermiticity constraint and navigate through some intruiguing phenomena that arises in this context, such as the Exceptional Points or the so-called Non-Hermitian Skin Effect."
Biography:
"Rodrigo Kloster Albarracín is a physicist focused on quantum technologies and quantum communications. He completed a BSc in Physics (Universidad de La Laguna) and an MSc in Quantum Science and Technology (UPV/EHU, Bilbao). For his MSc thesis, he worked on non-Hermitian quantum systems, studying the flat-band skin effect and related open-boundary phenomena".
