News

The first round of applications for the School Outreach Fund has closed. Additional rounds are in the planning stages.

• What is the School Outreach Fonds?

Through the School Outreach Fund, TU Braunschweig supports researchers and educators as part of the Ecoversity Outreach program to transfer current research findings into school practice.

Funding is provided for tandem projects involving TU researchers and internal/external educators. Research findings and innovations from TU Braunschweig are to be adapted, tested, and further developed in collaboration with schools or extracurricular partners for use in classrooms up to and including 10th grade.

• What is the purpose of the School Outreach Fund?

The goal is to strengthen collaboration and exchange between research and schools, promote innovative teaching and learning formats, and establish sustainable structures for knowledge transfer—for example, through the use of the LeoVAN (a mobile lab for schools) or other outreach formats. This contributes to the implementation of the activities outlined in our transfer strategy within the “Next Generation" ecosystem.

• Funding Period

The fund serves as seed funding. Funded projects are expected to develop a proven format or experiment within 6–12 months, which can be integrated into existing structures, courses, or collaborative networks.
