The ability to quickly change propeller thrust, position, flap angle and angle of attack is key to obtaining a meaningful set of measurements. This is exactly what the 2.7 metre wingspan DISPROP model, which is also on display at the Hannover Messe, offers. The aim is to achieve efficient lift, which will allow smaller wings to be built, thereby reducing energy requirements. Efficient aircraft configurations are necessary for sustainable aviation in the future. TU Braunschweig and the SE²A Cluster of Excellence are contributing to this ambitious goal with their research.
