The postgraduate seminar will cover a variety of current research topics from the field of "Machine Learning", which will be worked out, deepened and scientifically prepared.
Participants will read, present and discuss scientific publications together. The structure of a scientific conference publication is discussed as well as strategies for writing the common sections of a scientific paper.
This event has a discursive character, therefore the regular attendance of the participants is necessary. There will be 7 meetings on Fridays during the semester, each from 13:15 to 16:15.
Study achievement: Preparation for and attendance at at least 6 of the 7 meetings
Examination: Writing an own paper on machine learning
This seminar is meant for advanced master students with a good understanding of machine learning. It is advantageous for the examination if you have already performed machine learning experiments (be it in the scope of a bachelor thesis, master thesis, project work, internship, or similar).
