The Department of Computer Science is seeking to appoint a
Professor (salary grade W2 - tenured) in
Computer Vision
to start on October 1, 2018

Suitable applicants are internationally known for their excellent research in computer vision (CVPR, ICCV/ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV), have already gained experience in securing third-party research funding, and exhibit the necessary individual qualifications to establish and lead their own research group.

The professorship will be established at the Institut für Computergraphik to further strengthen the department’s profile in visual computing. Experience in the application of contemporary numerical optimization and machine learning approaches as well as active research focusing on performance capture, dynamic scene reconstruction and/or intrinsic video are advantageous. Continued active and successful acquisition of third-party funding is expected. For our bachelor and master programs, courses on computer vision and related topics shall complement our attractive curriculum.

The requirements of the position are defined in Section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz).
