TRR 277's 7 Additional AMC Activities for Early Career Support Structures
For Doctoral researchers
- A minimum of two project leaders of the proposed TRR 277 project will supervise the researchers
- International researchers will be invited to act as reviewers of doctoral dissertations
- “Best Dissertation Award” by TRR 277 board
- Supporting of trans university exchanges between both graduate schools
For Doctoral researchers
- Working groups and cross project teams will meet al least twice a year for one - or two-day workshops to update each other on the state of their research projects
- Group videoconferencing systems available at the two universities will allow the researchers to communicate easily and frequently during the times between the main conferences and working group meetings.
For Doctoral researchers
- Two summer schools with leading national and international researchers in the area of digital fabrication are planed
- National summer school in the first year (2020) an international summer school in third year of TRR 277 (2022)
For student researchers and school students
- University students will be supported during writing Bachelor’s and Master’s theses on project-relevant topics of TRR 277 (step into research)
- Workshops at secondary schools will be conducted to attracting promising new talents to universities
For Doctoral and Postdoctoral researchers
- Sharing the latest findings from TRR 277 with other researchers
- Developing scientific networks and advancing scientific careers
- Enhancing TRR 277 visibility at the international level
For Postdoctoral researchers and Professors
- Use 7 young involved scientists PL and postdoctoral researchers as role model to increase the number of young scientists as project leaders in 2nd funding periods
- Three young postdoctoral researchers will act as funding applicants and project leaders in the 2nd funding periods
- The module ‘Start-up Funding’ will be established in the 2nd funding period of the proposed TRR 277 to allow talented early career researchers to define their own research topics
For Doctoral and Postdoctoral researchers
- Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers will be given the opportunity to carry out research, for up to three months, at outstanding international research institutions
