German language university entrance examination for international study applicants (DSH)

The DSH certificate gives evidence that an international study applicant has the necessary language proficiency to study on a degree programme at a German university.

The DSH examination at TU Braunschweig is open to the following persons:

  • Participants of the DSH preparatory course, one of the intensive courses offered by the Language Centre of the TU Braunschweig (examination fee 100 Euro resp. since 01.06.2016 included in the course fee)
  • External participants with a graded B2.2 certificate – as far as free spots are available (registration about 4 weeks before the examination date in https://aura.sz.etc.tu-bs.de)
  • Please note that the number of participants in the DSH-Exam is limited and there is no legal claim to a participation in the DSH-exam
  • Participation requirement: Presentation of a B2.2 – language certificate (graded)
  • For the placing of the DSH-positions the following language certificates are preferred as proof for the required B2.2-level: 
    TestDaf-certificates, DSH-1-certificates, Certificates by the Goethe-Institute, telc-certificates, OnDaf-Certificates
  • Please regard that only graded B2.2 language certificates will be accepted (no participation certifications)

The DSH examination regulations of TU Braunschweig have been assigned the registration number 35-076.06 by the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) and the Association for German as a Foreign Language (FaDaF).
