Urban Factory - Resource-efficient factories in cities

The research project Urban Factory investigates and optimizes the development of resource efficientfactories in the city. The transfer of methods, characteristics and research results via a generally accessibleknowledge platform to all the various stakeholders involved in an urban factory is at the core of the project. The knowledge platform consists of a kit of methods, research results, reference project information andaccess to an ever-expanding network of experts.

Urban Factory

The main feature of this research project is the interdisciplinary development of methods and technologies that enable a reduction in consumption of resources relevant to the urban context of factories within cityquarters. As a key novelty the research project paves the way for cities to maximize energy and resource efficiencyby cross-linking its factories with the urban context.
