ESIMA – Improved resource efficiency by power autonomous sensor systems and customised human machine interaction

Human-technology interaction, improved networking capabilities and mobile communication is an important tool to improve the efficiency and costs of production processes. Modern mobile devices provide a wide range of communication possibilities and computing power to setup a perfectly designed ergonomic human machine interface.

Therefore the ESIMA project aims at the presentation of user-specific machine data mainly on mobile devices. The available data will be displayed individually and well conditioned for the scope of action of the desired user. Process relevant data will be available for the machine responsible personnel down to the shop floor level. The connection to the process will be realised by miniaturised power autonomous sensor systems that can be directly applied without modification to the machine or the process infrastructure and provide preprocessed process variables.
