Kurzfassung:

The aim of this paper is to show that the theory of dual spaces can be brought in for (model-based) diagnosis. To do so, predicate/transition-nets are introduced, with arcs each labeled with a linear mapping as well as it’s adjoint mapping. Based on such models, a ”duality-based” diagnosis-method is applied on a simplyfied airpath of a turbocharged engine.
