Due to stricter laws and intensified safety consciousness in the public the constantly rising requirements to the passive and active vehicle safety is of increasingly importance to the automobile industry. This led to a drastic increase of vehicle testing, with which apart from a purely quantitative increase of the driven kilometers the tests become even more challenging. With conventional means many tests can be realized either no more or only insufficiently.
