Showcase Regions for Electric Mobility – An overview of NFF projects.
HEV2014 - 11. Symposium Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeuge, Braunschweig, Deutschland, Februar 2014.

Kurzfassung:

With the Showcase Regions for Electric Mobility whose funding in Germany was initiated in 2012, the German Federal Government has introduced a new instrument for bundling the expertise across the systems of energy supply, electric vehicles and traffic systems. Founded as an interdisciplinary research centre in 2007 and supported by the Niedersachsen federal state government and Volkswagen AG, the Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen (Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum Fahrzeugtechnik – NFF) has helped establish the Braunschweig region as a leading location for internationally renowned automotive research. Alternative drive concepts require the interdisciplinary transfer of established knowledge and experience in the field of automotive research to allow for innovative mobility solutions. This contribution shall give an overview of projects at the Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen that are part of the Showcase Regions for Electric Mobility and that play a key role in the migration towards sustainable mobility.
