People at TransTiP

The International Research Training Group “Geo-ecosystems in transition on the Tibetan Plateau (TransTiP)” consists of 10 Principal Investigators of Technische Universität Braunschweig (5), Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover (2), and Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (3), in cooperation with the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing (8), the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, NIEER, CAS, Lanzhou (1), and Lanzhou University, LU (1).

9 PhD-projects and 1 PostDoc-project from various disciplines in geosciences are jointly conducted by German and Chinese principle investigators and PhD students from all over the world. Our graduate students are part of internationally-competitive cutting-edge research are prepared for environmental impact assessment and environmental problem solving by crossing disciplines on a high international level.
