Applying to be an exchange student

To study as an exchange student at TU Braunschweig you have to:

  • be enrolled at a partner university,
  • have studied for at least two semesters at your home university,
  • notice: The language of instruction is German. Some study programmes offer courses in English.

Application procedure for exchange students

  1. First apply at your home university or scholarship organisation (e.g. DAAD).
    Detailed information is provided by your International Office.
  2. Once you are nominated for an exchange programme, you select courses at TU Braunschweig. Together with your programme coordinator, you draw up a learning agreement, that ensures, that this courses will be recognised by your home university.
  3. Apply online to TU Braunschweig.

    You must send a copy of the application form duly signed by yourself and your home co-ordinators and your supporting documents in one pdf-file (max. 5 MB) to exchange-application@tu-braunschweig.de.

Select your courses online from our course catalogue. You do not need to log in to see the complete list of lectures and seminars.

Please note: Make sure you select the correct semester. Many of our lectures take place either in summer or in winter. If you are intending to come to TU Braunschweig in a future winter semester, you should look at the courses that were available in the previous winter semester.
