Exam information: The assessment is based on the quality of a couple of take-home assignments.

 

 

Short description:    Introduction to numerical optimization methods, density based methods for topology optimization, numerical challenges and instabilities, topology optimization in dynamic problems, stress constraints in topology optimization, buckling problems in topology optimization, Ground structure method for topology optimization, introduction to the level set method, introduction to the evolutionary methods.

 

 

 

Prerequisites: minimum 2 years of study
