Current Lectures

Maike Stelter is a Phd researcher at the Chair of International Relations since July 2018. Her research interests are forestry and environmental policy, global illicit markets and development cooperation. At the chair, Maike Stelter conducts research into the governance of global illicit markets. For her bachelor's degree, she studied Environmental Sciences and International Forestry at the University of Freiburg with a focus on international politics. She completed her master's degree at the TU Braunschweig in the study program Organisation, Governance, Bildung with a focus on Political Science and Educational Psychology. During her studies she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of International Relations.

Maike Stelter is researching on Governance of global illegal markets. Currently, she is working on her Phd project on the illegal timber market with focus on international norms and the role of local agents.

Maike Stelter was awarded the Braunschweiger Bürgerpreis for her academic achievements and her civil society engagement.
