Design in Context (ME1)

Course content

Architectural design with a freely selectable focus in the context of a building or city or landscape. Advanced design skills: Analysis of programme and context, development of thematic, spatial or constructive concepts at different scales, generation and verification of a design-defining idea, extended elaboration of the design taking into account conceptual, programmatic and contextual parameters, application and integration of analogue and digital techniques in architectural conception and representation. The design-relevant topics and contents are defined by the responsible instructors or by the students in consultation with the instructors.
