Getting a buddy is the best way to make your start in Braunschweig easy and enjoyable. Buddies are senior students who know the TU Braunschweig well and volunteered to support new international students. They will assist you upon your arrival and help you settle into your new surroundings and life in Braunschweig.

Also it's an easy way to meet people from all over the world and make new friends. Buddy programmes are offered by the international student associations Erasmus Student Network and Gauss Friends. .
When you register, you will be matched with a suitable Buddy or Buddy group. Your buddy will contact you via e-mail before you come to Braunschweig and can help you with any urgent questions you might have. Once you arrive in Braunschweig, your buddy will
pick you up from the train station in Braunschweig,
show you to your accommodation,
answer your questions relating to living and studying in Braunschweig,
help you with all kinds of administrative issues such as registering with the local authorities, enrolling at university, opening a bank account or taking out a health insurance policy.

In addition to the initial orientation in Braunschweig, it gives students the opportunity to get to know other students and to establish networks.
The ESN Buddy Programme is offered by the Erasmus Student Network Braunschweig. The programme helps international students to arrive safely in their new city and to get in contact with other students as quickly as possible.
