Corona-Virus: Current information about services and use of the university library
Access regulations to the reading rooms and study areas
Due to the ongoing Corona pandemic, the Technical University of Braunschweig has decided to regulate access to the reading rooms and study spaces of the University Library as follows:
In order to use the learning spaces, it is mandatory to register for library use. If you have not yet registered for library use, please complete the registration at home using our online registration form.
Study spaces in the University Library are limited. Please note the occupancy display on our home page.
Wearing an FFP2 mask and keeping distances is strongly recommended.
We reserve the right to withdraw the regulation for our external users in case of a further tightening of the Corona situation.
Please note the following recommendations, rules and restrictions
Please observe the urgent recommendations to maintain distances (at least 1.5 meters) in all library areas (distance markings at the circulation and information counters).
Throughout the library building and when using the study workstations, we strongly recommend wearing mouth-to-nose coverings. After entering the library building, it is recommended that you wash or sanitize your hands thoroughly.
For media that are not digitally available, you can submit an acquisition proposal. For media that are available in printed form but cannot be borrowed at present, we are considering the acquisition as an e-book.
Returning Media is possible via our self-service counter when the circulation desk is closed. When the library is closed, returning media is possbile via the media return box (on the right side in front of the entrance of the University Library).
In collaboration with the TU Berlin, the TU Braunschweig is developing Collabovid - a research platform that makes corona publications more searchable. Further information about this can be found in the TU Blog.
