Access regulations to the reading rooms and study areas

Due to the ongoing Corona pandemic, the Technical University of Braunschweig has decided to regulate access to the reading rooms and study spaces of the University Library as follows:

 

Conditions

  • In order to use the learning spaces, it is mandatory to register for library use. If you have not yet registered for library use, please complete the registration at home using our online registration form.
  • Study spaces in the University Library are limited. Please note the occupancy display on our home page.
  • Wearing an FFP2 mask and keeping distances is strongly recommended.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw the regulation for our external users in case of a further tightening of the Corona situation.

Opening Hours

Reading rooms and learningplaces for registered library users
Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 22:00 o`clock
Saturday: 10:00 - 22:00 o`clock
Sunday: 10:00 - 17:00 o`clock

Circulation Desk and Central Information
Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 19:00 o`clock
Saturday: 10:00 - 14:00 o`clock

We strongly recommend that you wear mouth-to-nose coverings throughout the library building and that you keep your distance.


Please note the following recommendations, rules and restrictions

  • Please observe the urgent recommendations to maintain distances (at least 1.5 meters) in all library areas (distance markings at the circulation and information counters).
  • Throughout the library building and when using the study workstations, we strongly recommend wearing mouth-to-nose coverings. After entering the library building, it is recommended that you wash or sanitize your hands thoroughly.
  • Please also urgently observe the information on the coronavirus of the TU Braunschweig.
  • Workstations (with chairs) are free to use.
  • The self check-out desk on the first floor can be used for contactless borrowing from the reading rooms.
  • Our printing service is currently limited to what is available at the Computer Center. A printer is available for this purpose in the hands-free check-out.
  • For copies and printouts from USB sticks, a copier is available in reading room 2.
  • Book scanners are available on the individual floors.
