Can a swallow drink the sea dry, a camel fetch stars from the sky or a snake spit out gold coins? The children's book author reads and tells these and other fantastical tales.

Exciting, funny and multi-layered stories, sounds, music and image projections, storytelling theatre and (depending on the audience, multilingual) interactions create a poetic connection between the author, the text and the children. On request, I also offer storytelling theatre only.

Short biography

Andrea Karimé was born in Kassel to German and Lebanese parents. After studying music and art education, she worked as a primary school teacher for 12 years. Since 2007, she has been living in Köln as a freelance children's book author and poet. She has received numerous scholarships and literary awards for her work, most recently the “Preis der Jungen Literaturhäuser 2023” for “Sterne im Kopf und ein unglaublicher Plan” and the Boedecker Prize 2024 for her entire oeuvre and her work in education.
