In addition to the standard microphones for the lecture halls (neckband and handheld microphones), mobile radio microphone sets (clip-on microphones) can be borrowed from the porter in the Old Building of the TU Braunschweig for connection to your own laptop for recording and streaming live events. A Short explanatory video will give you an introduction on how to use the technology.
For the winter semester 2022/23, special lecture halls at the TU Braunschweig have been expanded and redesigned for the implementation of hybrid lectures. In the online course, you will learn about the technical innovations and suitable didactic scenarios for hybrid teaching in the lecture hall with the help of video tutorials and additional materials.
On our page on the technical-didactic design of hybrid teaching-learning settings, you will find an overview of the various implementation scenarios of hybrid teaching, including their technical requirements, as well as tips on didactic design - from the introduction to the course, to content delivery and activation of the students, to securing what has been learned.
Connect a laptop via USB cable (sound and image transmission to the web conference) and HDMI cable (sound and image transmission to the lecture theatre) (existing table connections)
Laptop: Start web conference via BigBlueButton/Webex
The touchpad in the lecture hall: project web conference and, if necessary, camera images of the online participants onto the screen and activate the sound
Online participants are heard in the lecture hall by unlocking their microphones (sound is transmitted via lecture hall speakers)
Face-to-face participants are heard online, either by speaking into a handheld microphone (technology loan) or by the teacher repeating their contributions
Tip: ask an additional person to keep an eye on requests to speak
Feel free to contact us if you have individual questions about your hybrid teaching-learning setting or would like feedback. We will be happy to support and advise you in the preparation of your course or current challenges in its implementation.
