The Master's degree programme includes basic modules that expand your knowledge from the Bachelor's degree and complement the specialisation subjects of the Master's degree. Key qualifications round off your personal profile. In the academic final area, you will complete study projects and your Master's thesis.

You choose three specialisation subjects and decide for yourself whether you want to become a generalist or a specialist in the variety of topics in civil engineering.

Study abroad? No problem! Thanks to the numerous international exchange programmes at TU Braunschweig, you can easily integrate semesters abroad into your studies: Equivalent achievements from abroad are recognised. Ideally, this does not prolong your studies. More than one third of our students already gain international experience during their studies.

Double degree programme in the USA

Our double degree programme for Master's students with the University of Rhode Island (USA) offers you a special bonus: You will spend the last year of your studies there and acquire the Master of Science degree of the TU Braunschweig and the University of Rhode Island at the same time.

Excursions at home and abroad are offered in many different ways. What they have in common is that they lead off the beaten tourist track and you bring home unusual, enriching impressions. You can also gain insights into which views and topics are current elsewhere through guest lectures by domestic and foreign capacities.
