Study abroad

During your studies you have various opportunities for a stay abroad. The Department of Social Sciences has various partnership agreements with European universities. In addition, under certain conditions, there is the possibility to apply to one of the other 250 European partner universities of the TU Braunschweig.

An overview of existing exchange programs of the TU Braunschweig can be found on the pages of the International House. The most common is the Erasmus+ program.

 

Semester abroad in Europe (Erasmus+)

The Department of Social Sciences maintains agreements with the following universities:

  • Universitet i Agder Kristiansand (Norway)
  • Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (Portugal)

  • Institut d'Etudes Politiques Toulouse (France)
  • Sveučilišta u Zagrebu (Kroatia)         
  • Université de la Réunion (Overseas-Départment France)

It is best to discuss the right time for a stay abroad with the subject coordinator. During a stay with Erasmus+ you benefit from the following advantages:

  • simplified application procedure
  • financial support from the program: monthly payment of 300 € - 420 € (depending on the country group)
  • Waiver of tuition fees at the partner university
  • Recognition of credits earned abroad at the home university
  • Support at the host university by the ERASMUS+ coordinator, who can help e.g. with the procurement of accommodation.
