Within a novel Student Science Program, SE2A connects students to their research environment at the undergraduate level already. The SE2A research groups will propose small-scale research projects for undergraduates in their 2nd and 3rd years. These undergraduate projects will be reviewed by the SE²A Qualification and Equal Opportunity Committee to ensure a connection to recent scientific questions and integration into the lecture curriculum.
Talented students can apply for positions as student assistants to work in supervised international teams, such as in laboratories and experimental campaigns in order to improve their intercultural skills and to generate scientific value for SE²A.
The new Excellent.ING honours programme in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TU Braunschweig supports outstanding students in developing their individual attributes, particular addressing skills in interdisciplinary research. The SE²A Cluster makes this programme extremely attractive as it offers extraordinary opportunities to promote excellent master’s students whose abilities and wishes go beyond the standard master’s programmes.
The SE²A Cluster of Excellence is a cross-institute and cross-university research network with more than 60 research projects. Students' theses and student jobs are advertised on the websites of the institutes. An overview of the SE²A research projects and the responsible researchers can be found here.
