Thanks to Prof. Dr. Dieter Jahn

Our deepest gratitude is directed to Prof. Dr. Dieter Jahn, who has led BRICS from its inception – laying its foundation brick by brick (BRICS!) and building it into the strong and vibrant center it is today. From establishing research working groups to initiating numerous collaborative projects, Dieter’s impact has been extraordinary and BRICS will celebrate these accomplishments on the 29th of October 2026.

The new executive board is excited to write the next chapter of BRICS together with its growing number of members from TU Braunschweig and its partners HZI, PTB, and DSMZ to explore new avenues of cooperation and innovation.
