Technische Universität Braunschweig is looking for a new president. Since 01.10.2020 and until the appointment, Vice President Professor Dr. Katja Koch is provisionally entrusted with the duties.
Professor Katja Koch has been Vice-President for Teacher Training and Knowledge Transfer since 2018. Prior to this, she was Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Education for five years. The school researcher has been working at the Institute of Educational Science at the Carolo-Wilhelmina since 2010.
She had already managed the professorship in 2008, immediately after her habilitation at the Universität Göttingen. Koch studied history and German philology at the Universität Marburg, where she also completed her doctorate. She was a research assistant at the Department of Educational Sciences there and a holder of the Hessian Graduate Scholarship. Her research focuses on empirical educational research, especially in the areas of multilingualism and heterogeneity as well as transitions in the school system.
