The 12th International Symposium on Semiconductor Light Emitting Devices

The 12th International Symposium on Semiconductor Light Emitting Devices (ISSLED 2020) will take place in Magdeburg, Germany, during May 10-15, 2020. The ISSLED2020 brings together scientists and engineers from both, academia and industry, to share and exchange the latest discoveries and progress on light emitting semiconductors with a focus on III-nitride devices.

It started in 1996/1998 in Chiba (Japan) and went through Berlin (Germany), Cordoba (Spain), Gyeongju (Korea), Montpellier (France), Phoenix (Arizona), Beijing (China), Berlin (Germany), Kaohsiung (Taiwan) and most recently in Banff (Canada) in 2017.

Magdeburg is a beautiful city at the shores of the river Elbe and one of the most important European cities in the middle ages and during reformation. Magdeburg is at the cross roads of East and West, the center of Germany and in the center of Europe. Magdeburg hosts two Universities: the Otto-von-Guericke University and the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences as well as mayor research institutes (Max-Planck, Leibniz, Fraunhofer, Helmholtz). Magdeburg is only one hour away from Berlin and easily accessible from international airports at Berlin (TXL and SFX) as well as Frankfurt (FRA).

You will find many historic sites as well as modern touristic attractions.

We very much hope that you will attend the ISSLED 2020. We look forward to meeting you in Magdeburg, Germany.
