To support our application-oriented research, we operate an efficient research infrastructure with realistic demonstrators at the Institute of Intermodal Transport and Logistics Systems. These serve to test, validate and further develop our concepts under practical conditions and form a bridge between theory and application.
Our demonstrators enable
- System tests under real-time conditions to evaluate algorithms, sensor technology and control strategies.
- Hardware-in-the-loop environments for integrating real components into virtual development environments.
- Scalable test fields for autonomous robot and vehicle fleets in intralogistics and urban environments.
- Simulation of digital twins for mapping multimodal transport systems, charging infrastructures and logistics chains.
- Data-driven analysis platforms, e.g. for mobility behavior, energy requirements and infrastructural resilience.
