The SpACE Lab - Spatial Analytics and Crossdisciplinary Experimentation Lab at ISU is a founding member of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Postdigital Participation Braunschweig. The focus of the campus is on social participation in a world where hybrid analog-digital technologies and practices shape our lives. SpACE Lab at ISU develops new methods that empower citizens to participate in the design and planning of the city.
On May 4-5, the campus, and we in particular, invite you to the conference titled "Participation and the Postdigital. Contemporary technologies and practices in education and urban life." Participation in postdigital practices holds great potential for participation in strategic communication, policy debates, and decision-making processes, but it can also lead to datafication and monetization of behavioral data, to "impersonal" forms of participation, or to exclusion.
The conference is organized by Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute, TU Braunschweig (IAK, ISU, wi3, ifas), Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, German Maritime Museum - Leibniz Institute of Maritime History and Haus der Wissenschaft Braunschweig GmbH.
