S.O.S.

Studying without language barriers

The project

S.O.S. is a peer teaching programme in which German students help their fellow students from abroad with their studies. After qualifying as language coaches, the German students lead intercultural study groups. Working with two to eight international students, they review the subject matter from the seminars and lectures they all attend. During that time, terminological issues can be resolved straight away. While collaborating in these study groups, the students acquire vital study skills and get to know their German and international classmates. The programme offers easily accessible, direct help with language difficulties and takes the question of social integration into account.
