inTU

Tutoring programme for first-term international students

The project

inTU is a tutoring and workshop programme offered in Faculties 3 and 4, where German and international students receive support from student tutors during their first semester. They attend weekly sessions that cover a specific curriculum, such as daily life at university, the higher education system in Germany, and German culture. In the process, they make connections with fellow students from Germany and abroad and improve their language skills through conversation.

Project term

  • Faculty 4: October 2015 – March 2018
  • Faculty 3: July 2017 – September 2018
  • since January 2018 – December 2020: Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as part of its STIBET II programme, followed by a decision on its permanent adoption
