InnovaMina – Digital Mining through Distributed Sensing and Intelligent Data Analytics

InnovaMina is a collaborative research project focused on advancing digital mining through the integration of distributed sensing technologies and intelligent data analytics. The project aims to improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability by enabling predictive maintenance, optimized resource management, and reduced environmental impact.

The project is built around three complementary technology pillars:

• IoT-enabled diffraction sensing for distributed infrastructure monitoring;
• Anomaly detection to ensure reliable and robust sensor operation;
• Fiber-optic shear-wave imaging for early warning and structural health assessment.

To facilitate the transfer of research into industrial applications, the project is carried out in close collaboration with Worldsensing and Aragon Photonics, supporting the validation and deployment of the developed technologies in real-world environments.
