Institute of Building Construction and Timber Structures (IBHolz) was represented by research assistants Tomma Grensemann, Michael Müller and Moritz Tronnier.
The event focused on the latest research findings from PhD students in German-speaking countries. As part of this event, Moritz Tronnier presented the results of its tests on the fatigue behaviour of bolts in timber construction. These findings provide an important basis for the dynamic design of fasteners in timber construction and thus help to increase design reliability in practice.
The programme also included presentations by Katharina Lehmann (CEO Blumer Lehmann) and Andrea Frangi (Professor für Holzbau, ETH Zürich) on various aspects of timber construction.
