Erasmus & International Exchange

Erasmus & International Exchange

General Information

The International Office at the TU Braunschweig is responsible for all general administrative and organizational questions (application, scholarships, etc.) to the exchange programs. On the first Wednesday of each month, the International Office offers a general information event tailored to the ERASMUS+ program. Common questions and answers about ERASMUS+ are also summarized in a Q&A.

The application for a semester abroad with ERASMUS+ takes place via online form; The deadline is the 1st of February for the following academic year (for example for the WS 2017/18 and the SS 2018 the application deadline was the 1st of February 2017!).

Technical aspects

The basis of the international exchange are subject-specific partnership agreements with universities abroad. The Department of Social Sciences currently has partnerships with the following European universities:

  • Chester College University (England)
  • Bahcesehir Universitesi Istanbul (Turkey)
  • Arel Universitesi Istanbul (Turkey)
  • Fatih Universitesi Istanbul (Turkey)
  • Universitet i Agder Kristiansand (Norway)
  • Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (Portugal)
  • Univerza V Maribor (Slovenia)
  • Université de la Réunion (French overseas department)
  • Institut d'Etudes Politiques Toulouse (France)
  • Sveučilišta u Zagrebu (Croatia)

In addition, there is the possibility of a non-specialist application to vacant exchange places of other subjects - in recent years stays in Stockholm, Valencia or Tallinn were possible. A complete overview, sorted by subject or country, can be found at the International Office under "Search exchange locations".

We also offer Erasmus research internships, please contact IB-IR(at)tu-bs.de for details.
