The Study Service Center is currently closed. The office hours of the Student Office will also be cancelled. However, internal operations will continue. We will remain available via the Study Service Call and e-mail:
Due to the current pandemic situation, we have to refrain from issuing any further TUcards in front of the "Haus der Wissenschaft". We will therefore send you your TUcard from Monday, 09.11.2020. Please make sure that your address data is up-to-date. You can easily view and adapt your data in TUconnect in the study service section under contact details. If you have any questions, please contact our Study Service Call at Tel. 0531 3914321 or by e-mail: i-amt@tu braunschweig.de
In addition, you will receive your Welcome Bag with lots of interesting information about our service facilities and a booklet of vouchers by post. We wish you much pleasure with it!
1st batch: All students enrolled up to and including 29.10.2020 (cf. date of issue on your provisional student ID) - dispatched on 09.11.2020
2nd batch: All students enrolled up to and including 10.11.2020 (cf. date of issue on your provisional student ID) - dispatched on 12.11.2020
All students enrolled after 10.11.2020 will receive their TUcard successively according to the date of issue of the cards.
We have already validated your TUcard for this semester for you, i.e. we have printed the validity period on the card. In the following semesters, please validate your TUcard independently at one of the validation printers in order to extend its validity. This will be necessary for you for the first time for the 2021 summer semester.
To use the library you have to register at the UB with your TUcard. You can find more information here.
Please keep your TUcard in the protective cover provided. This is specially designed so that your card only needs to be removed for validation of the envelope.
Lectures will start on 19 October 2020, with minor deviations for first-semester students in the B.Sc. degree programme in Psychology (maybe a few days of delay) and in the Pharmacy degree programme (start: 02.11.2020). Please note the special pages of the TU Braunschweig on the coronavirus: https://www.tu-braunschweig.de/en/notes-on-the-coronavirus/.
Your inquiries and applications will continue to be processed by us even during the limited operation of the university. An unrestricted maintenance of our services is unfortunately not possible under the current threat of the coronavirus. However, we try to keep the inconvenience for you as low as possible. Therefore we will remain available for you by phone, fax and e-mail. Of course we will continue to receive your submissions by mail.
Compliance with deadlines
In order to meet the deadline, it is usually sufficient to drop the complete application (e.g. for enrolment or for a change of study programme) in the mailbox of the Student Office in time. In the case of postal deliveries, the date of receipt at the Student Office is decisive.
If a missed deadline is foreseeable due to given circumstances (cancellation of exams or similar), please contact us in good time! We will then find a suitable solution together with you. This is also a completely new situation for us, which we will deal with in the best possible way.
The application procedure for locally restricted courses of study started on 01.06.2020.

The General Students' Committee (AStA) has concluded a transitional agreement during the Corona crisis with the Verkehrsverbund Region Braunschweig GmbH and the railway companies of the state-wide semester ticket. From April 1 to May 31, in addition to the "Temporary Semester Ticket" for the first journey to the place of study, a valid certificate of enrollment in conjunction with a valid official photo ID will be recognized as a travel authorization.
Update - 10.06.20: The agreement was extended until 31.07.2020.
Please note: This agreement only applies to re-registered students, i.e. students who were already enrolled at TU Braunschweig in the previous semester and who did not validate their TUcard for the summer semester 2020 in the winter semester 2019/20. This agreement explicitly does not apply to students who are newly enrolled for the summer semester 2020. Instead, they will receive a provisional student identity card by mail as confirmation of their enrollment and information regarding their TUcard.
