We will continue to process your enquiries and applications. Unfortunately, it is not possible to maintain our services without restrictions under the current situation. However, we will try to keep the inconvenience for you as low as possible. Therefore, you can still reach us by phone, fax and e-mail. Of course, we will continue to receive your submissions by post.

Compliance with deadlines
To meet the deadline, it is usually sufficient to drop the complete application (e.g. for enrolment or for a change of degree programme) in the letterbox of the Admissions Office in good time. In the case of postal deliveries, the date of receipt at the Enrolment Office is decisive.
If a missed deadline is foreseeable due to circumstances (examination cancellation or similar), please contact us in good time! We will then find a suitable solution together with you.
The application procedure for degree programmes with local admission restrictions started on 01.12.2022. Applications for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes and higher semesters can be submitted until 15.01.2023. Enrolment in the first semester of an undergraduate Bachelor's degree programme without local admission restrictions can still be made until 01.04.2023. You can view our study programmes here: Link
Enrolments and change of study programme will of course continue to be processed.
Due to the special situation and the inevitable changes in procedures, delays may occur. Applications will be processed as quickly as possible so that you will receive confirmation of your enrolment as soon as possible. Please be patient.
Please check the applicant portal and your e-mail inbox regularly so that you can respond to any queries or requests for information if necessary.
Please note: You will not receive any confirmation from us if a change of study programme has been carried out; instead, the new degree programme will appear on the enrolment certificates that you can download, in addition to the previous degree programme or will replace it.
Applications for exmatriculation can once again be submitted directly to the Study Service Centre. After processing, we will issue the exmatriculation certificates directly. In detail, we require the following for processing
The application form can be downloaded here:
Applications can still be sent by post together with the TUcard. The required note of discharge (Entlastungsvermerk) from the University Library (UB) can be obtained in the following ways:
After final processing, we will send the exmatriculation certificates and the TUcard by post.
Fees and charges already paid for the winter semester 2022/23 are refunded if the complete application (TUcard included) is received by the Student Office by 24th November 2022 at the latest (and the desired exmatriculation date is 24th November 2022 at the latest).
Provide proof of your (Bachelor's) degree in due time
The documents can either be deposited in the letterbox of the Student Office at the main entrance of the Haus der Wissenschaft or sent by post.
You can still have your leave of absence for the winter semester 2022/23 revoked until 01.12.2022. To do so, simply send us the original confirmation of your leave of absence together with an informal application for the withdrawal (with your original signature) and proof of payment of the refunded fees (usually €75.00 plus long-term study fees, if applicable) to:
TU Braunschweig
Immatrikulationsamt

Alternatively, you can drop the documents in our mailbox at the main entrance of the Haus der Wissenschaft, Pockelsstraße 11.
We are also available for you again at the Study Service Centre. Please note the information on the opening hours of the SC and the current hygiene rules: https://www.tu-braunschweig.de/en/sc/news
