We will review models of soil physics and plant hydraulics to describe the active role of plants in the hydrological cycle. Guest lectures from international researchers will give the students an overview of research at the frontier of ecohydrological modelling.
Scope
The course targets graduate-level students of the environmental sciences programme as well as students of the civil and environmental engineering programmes. The course consists of weekly lectures (3 ECTS) and programming exercises (3 ECTS), thus students will earn 6 ECTS after successful completion.
