Department 33 – Building Systems Engineering (Heating - Ventilation - Plumbing)

Department 33 is responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of building equipment. The department makes a significant contribution to the efficient use of energy and safeguards teaching and research at the university. In the realization of extensive projects, the department accompanies external planning offices and companies on behalf of TU Braunschweig.

Responsibilities

Project management:

Planning and implementation of construction and renovation projects in cooperation with the other engineering departments and the building construction department.

 

Heating and air conditioning systems:

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of heating systems
  • Thermal engineering supply of lecture halls, laboratories and offices
  • Cooling water circuits
  • Laboratory facilities (cooling and air-conditioning rooms, clean rooms)
  • Compressed air supply

 

Sanitary and gas engineering:

  • Sanitary supply of lecture halls, laboratories and offices with drinking water
  • Wastewater treatment
  • Special gases supply
  • Disposal of wastewater and rainwater
  • Gas warning systems
