In order to promote early career researchers in the initial stages of their postdoctoral career phase, Technische Universität Braunschweig awards Postdoc Career Grants. Excellent postdocs are thus offered the opportunity to submit their own application for third-party funding and to bridge the time until their own application for third-party funding is approved.
The funding amounts up to 20.000 € for a maximum of six months. In addition, the faculty / institute has to provide the same amount of matching funds.
Applications must be submitted jointly by the candidate and the mentor/professor and will then be reviewed by the Research Funding Network on the basis of the following criteria.
Application requirements
Successful candidates are required to prove the submission of their project application by providing the confirmation letter of the funding organisation within eight weeks after the end of the PostDoc Career Grant funding. If the application is not been submitted or the grantee leaves the university before the end of the PostDoc Career Grant funding period, the hosting institute has to refund the PostDoc Career Grant.
